A lot of students decide to go an Erasmus+ mobility as part of their academic or professional experience. The different procedures will be explained and developed in this article to facilitate your application for an Erasmus mobility.

Integrating the Erasmus+ programme
First of all, talk to the people who are in charge of mobilities and international relationships in your institution to start the procedures.
The number of places available in the Erasmus+ programme is limited. Indeed, you will have to go through a selection phase to enjoy the benefits of this programme. To maximise your chances of being selected, start all the procedures in advance.
To make part of the selection, your dossier needs to include the following documents:
- 2 cover letters: 1 in the language of your country of residence, the other in the language of your country of destination
- 2 resumes: 1 in the language of your country of residence, the other in the language of your country of destination
- Official transcript of your institution of the last semesters
- Application form
- A language test or certificate could be very helpful for your dossier
The advantages of the Erasmus+ programme
Going on an Erasmus+ mobility does not have any additional costs on the administrative fees of your foreign university. Indeed, many partnerships are made between the different European institutions to facilitate your mobility.
When you do an Erasmus+ mobility, the ECTS credits are maintained and cumulated with your past and futur validated modules. You will need these credits to validate your ongoing degree.
The Erasmus+ programme participants benefit from the Erasmus or other public structures’ scholarships.
You have two different trip possibilities: continuing your school year abroad in a foreign university or doing an internship in a foreign company. Also, the Erasmus programme proposes multiple destinations for you to choose where to do your mobility.
Going on Erasmus more than once
With the Erasmus+ programme you can cumulate 12 months of mobility every school year. This is to say that if you have done a 5 month internship abroad in your first year of Masters degree, you can cumulate 7 months for another internship during your second year.
The Erasmus+ mobility can also be combined during your whole academic career : you can accumulate 12 months of internship during your Bachelor’s degree and another 12 months during your Masters degree.
