To obtain a social security number in Spain you need to apply online by following this <\/span>link<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are the steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Enter your e-mail address<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. You will receive an email to confirm the address<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Fill in your personal details (no need to add a second surname)<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Take a photo of yourself with your passport (make sure you can see your face and passport details). If you don’t have a passport, you won’t be able to enter your identity card details.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. If you don’t have a passport – we assume you’ll need to enter the NIE number as identification and then take a photo with the ID card, attaching both documents.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Fill in the subject of the request: “solicito un n\u00famero de seguridad social”.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Fill in a document with your information and attach it.<\/span><\/li>\n
