Every day, the media tell us about events and disruptions due to climate change; this is why in 2020 we must all feel concerned by the current situation and engage in an eco-responsible approach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being eco-responsible is a real challenge every day. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mobitrainee.com\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mobi Trainee<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is committed to this approach by implementing actions within its structure. That&#8217;s why we wanted to share with you the commitment of Erasmus+ and the eco-responsible approach implemented within its agency.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>What are the benefits of an eco-responsible approach for a company?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Improving the competitiveness of the company and its brand image<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reducing expenses by favoring renewable energies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Allowing a better management of resources<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Getting a head start on measures that will soon be mandatory<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strengthening the corporate culture<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sharing strong commitments<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>What does it mean to be eco-responsible in business?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Being eco-responsible<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in business means managing the resources necessary for the proper functioning of the company while seeking to reduce its environmental impact as much as possible, at all times.<\/span><b> The eco-behavior <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a daily attempt to limit the ecological impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the ADEME (Agency for the Environment and Energy Management), what actions should be taken to become eco-responsible within a regional government ?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Implementing a purchasing policy that favors eco-products\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reducing water, energy and paper consumption<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Improving the management of built and unbuilt heritage\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Raising awareness and educating staff about sustainable development<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Erasmus+&#8217;s eco-responsible approach<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The goal to limit the environmental footprint has been taken up by the Agency at the European level in consultation with the other Erasmus+ agencies. The next Erasmus+ program for 2021-2027 will include measures called <\/span><b>Erasmus goes green<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In 2020, the program has already planned to cover additional expenses related to low greenhouse gas emitting transport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not to mention the implementation of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mobitrainee.com\/erasmus-plus\/conseils\/lapplication-mobile-erasmus\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Erasmus+ app<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, aiming at digitizing administrative procedures.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An eco-responsible charter was drafted including 10 principles to abide by in order to commit the agency and its agents to the eco-responsible approach.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Optimal conditions for the implementation of eco-measures in the office<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Decreasing waste during lunch and coffee breaks<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Decreasing paper consumption\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Sorting more waste.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Consuming less energy on a daily basis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Sharing a commitment to &#8220;digital sobriety\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Reducing and offsetting greenhouse gas emissions from business travel<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Favoring sustainable and eco-responsible purchases.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Organizing meetings and events in a way to limit their environmental footprint<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Being an influencer<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Green transport supported by Erasmus+ in 2020<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thousands of young people travel every year for their Erasmus mobility. This has environmental consequences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Erasmus+ has therefore set up additional support to promote ecological means of transportation, especially the train. In the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/fr\/programme-guide\/erasmusplus-programme-guide\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Erasmus+ 2020 guide<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a paragraph called\u00a0 &#8220;EXCEPTIONAL COSTS FOR HIGH TRAVEL COSTS&#8221; has been added. This section highlights the fact that traveling by &#8220;green&#8221; transport is a reason to ask for extra money. It will therefore be possible to go beyond the limits of the distance calculator.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specifically the guide says on page 63: &#8220;Applicants for mobility projects will be allowed to request financial support for high travel expenses under the &#8220;exceptional expenses&#8221; budget line (up to a maximum of 80% of the total expenses: see &#8220;What are the funding rules?&#8221;), including in cases where participants choose cleaner means of transportations with lower-carbon (e.g. train), resulting in high travel expenses.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For more information on Erasmus+&#8217;s eco-responsible approach, you can read the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/agence.erasmusplus.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/2845_la-charte-des-ecogestes-les-principes.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Erasmus+ Agency&#8217;s Eco-Action Charter<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as well as this <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/agence.erasmusplus.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/focus-4-le-nouvel-Erasmus-et-la-transition-env.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">presentation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to better understand the objectives of the &#8220;new Erasmus and the environmental transition&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than ever, we are all concerned by climate change around the world.
