The edition of the Erasmus Days, the official European festival celebrating international mobility and European citizenship, took place between the 10th and the 12th of October. During these three days, many universities, associations, companies and Europeans organized Erasmus Plus events.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s take a look back at this popular and solidarity festival that was widely celebrated across the EU member states. We will see how an Erasmus Days event is planned.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are ERASMUS DAYS?<\/b><\/p>\n

First of all, it is worth recalling what is the Erasmus Plus program and what are the goals of the Erasmus Days.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

An exchange programme between universities<\/b><\/p>\n

Erasmus + is an exchange program that enables European students to study in universities abroad, to carry out internships in companies or to be involved in voluntary work through European associations.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Erasmus + program has been a growing success and has gradually established itself in all EU member states. Erasmus is now present in almost all universities and is the first exchange programme chosen by students.<\/span><\/p>\n

30 years of existence and 10 million participants in Europe<\/b><\/p>\n

Since its creation in 1987, Erasmus + has given nearly 10 million people the opportunity to travel around Europe, discover new cultures, share knowledge and plan youth and sports events.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ERASMUS DAY is an opportunity to celebrate this success and to bring together this large community around festive, cultural, associative and educational events.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to plan an Erasmus Days event ?<\/b><\/p>\n

The 2019 session has just ended, but if you feel like it, Erasmus Days take place every year.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Enquire an Erasmus + agency<\/b><\/p>\n

If you want to organize an Erasmus Day event, you need to collect a ‘Communication Kit’ from an Erasmus + agency. If you are not familiar with the Erasmus network, you can go to a university and visit the European mobility service.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Collect a “Communication Kit”<\/b><\/p>\n

The organization of an event is highly monitored and must comply with certain basic regulations. For instance, you must obtain official documents before starting your project.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is therefore a process that requires to prepare a minimum and to draft beforehand a detailed project. If the framework and goal of your event are accepted by the Erasmus + Commission, you may also receive a fund.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once your application has been validated, you will receive your communication kit within several weeks, as well as the official certificates guaranteeing the validation of your project. In the meantime, you can download the <\/span>digital communication kit <\/span><\/a>\u00a0available to participants.<\/span><\/p>\n
