BERLIN, A CITY OF OPPORTUNITIES<\/b><\/p>\n

Germany is an economically and professionally attractive country. Therefore you\u2019ll be guaranteed a good quality internship. Indeed, the unemployment rate in Germany has never been so low! At the end of 2016, it stood at 5.8%. To give you a comparison for the same year this rate was 9.7% in France. The city of Berlin is known for its dynamism, its youth, and its opportunities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

AN ATTRACTIVE CITY\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Berlin is a pleasant city to live in because of its dynamism, culture, museums and events. You can find trendy places where to party, but also secret places to make the most of German nights.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Public transport is convenient and pleasant to get around the city. Every district is well served by public transport. You can enjoy the city easily.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This city is surrounded by green spaces! There is nothing better than going to the Tiergarten – Berlin’s most emblematic park – for some fresh air.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Berlin is also one of the most popular destinations for French people, along with Spain and the UK.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PREPARING YOUR INTERNSHIP IN BERLIN\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

It is not necessary to speak German to do an <\/span>internship in Berlin<\/b>. In fact, Germans have a perfect command of the language of Shakespeare. You will therefore need a good level of English for your internship in Berlin.<\/span><\/p>\n

To prepare your stay in Berlin: you do not need a VISA as you are in the European zone, but you must order your European Health Insurance Card.<\/span><\/p>\n

FUNDING YOUR STAY\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

To <\/span>fund<\/b> your stay you can apply for :\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

International mobility assistance<\/b>. This aid for international mobility from the CROUS concerns students who already receive grants in France.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is also <\/span>regional aid<\/b>: ask the regional council of the establishment where you are studying. You can benefit from departmental aid. For instance, the <\/span>Aquitaine region<\/span><\/a> offers financial aid for projects abroad (Aquimob).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is also <\/span>municipal aid<\/b>, so inquire the town where you come from to present your project.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are also <\/span>European grants<\/b>: Erasmus grants are better known. In order to be eligible for an Erasmus + grant, you must meet the following conditions: be at least in your first year of higher education; study in a university that is a signatory of the Erasmus + University Charter.<\/span><\/p>\n
