In France, more than 44 000 students could go on an Erasmus mobility in 2017. In 2018, there was an increase of 6% in Erasmus departures. After being selected for the Erasmus programme, every candidate can receive one or more scholarships to finance their stay in the foreign country where they have chosen to do their mobility.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the Erasmus scholarship?\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Erasmus+ scholarship is a financial contribution that you receive once your mobility project has been validated. This scholarship can vary according to the destination you have chosen. How to benefit from the Erasmus+ scholarship ?\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

First, you need to make sure that you are affiliated to an academic institution which practices interinstitutional exchanges and that you are registered in a higher education european institution. Then, ask about this scholarship at the international exchanges department of your institution, because it is your school who is going to give you this scholarship. Keep in mind that you will have to start the mobility administrative procedures between 6 and 12 months before your departure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The amount of the Erasmus scholarships\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

Foreign studies scholarship<\/b><\/h3>\n

This scholarship can vary according to your country of destination and your institution\u2019s budgets for those scholarships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you decide to go on an Erasmus trip to do your studies abroad in a european country the scholarship amount would be between 150 and 300 euros per month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Internship abroad scholarship<\/b><\/h3>\n

These scholarships can also vary according to our country of destination and your institution\u2019s budget. If you want to go on an Erasmus trip to do an internship in a foreign country your Erasmus scholarship is increased. The scholarship amount would be between 300 and 450 euros per month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Possible mobility duration: 3 to 12 months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Other possible financial contributions for your Erasmus+ project\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

You could complete your project funding with the French regional CROUS scholarship. To benefit from the CROUS scholarship you need to have the scholar status. To know more about the regional scholarships you should contact directly the mobility departments of every pole.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is another way of financing your mobility project: the international mobility financial contribution. You can benefit from this financial aid only if you have the scholar status and if you follow a school career abroad in an exchange program context or in an international internship context. The amount of this financial contribution is around 400 euros per month and is given for the stays that last between 2 and 9 months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
